OPC Xi Simulation Server

The XiSIM Simulation Server is a native OPC Xi server for use as a test platform.
The server provides DA, AE and HDA functionality without needing access to DCOM based classic OPC server.

As a native OPC Xi server, XiSIM is simple to install and configure.

The DA part has a set of objects (items) that are defeind in an XML file. Some of the objectshave statis values, some change at a one second interval. The AE part periodically generates a few events. The HDA part has a text file database. Each CSV file holds the historical values. The data in the files can be modified or files can be added.

XiSIM is built with the Advosol XiPLUS server toolkit.
XiPLUS has a generic server that handles the Xi client interface. The application specific server functionality is in plug-in DLLs, which are developed in C# or VB.NET with Visual Studio.
